Two Sikh teenagers from Budgam bring laurels by securing over 90 per cent points in NEET

Srinagar, Oct 17 (KNO): Like many Kashmiris, two Sikh teenagers from Central Kashmir’s Budgam district have made entire Kashmir proud by managing to secure over 90 per cent points in the recently held National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) examinations. Pertinently, the results for NEET were declared on Friday in which a total of 771500 candidates have qualified and Soyeb Aftab of Odisha and Akanksha Singh of New Delhi topped the exam with a perfect score of 720 out of 720. Sharanjeet Singh, son of Popinder Singh of Khampore Saria Chadoora and Jai Veer Singh of Rangreth area of Budgam have qualified NEET by securing over 90 per cent points. Jai veer Singh while talking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that he was studying in Kota and managed to secure over 93 per cent points in NEET in his first attempt. “I am thankful to everyone who supported me,” he said, adding that in CBSE board examinations, he had secured 97 per cent marks in Class 12th. “I started preparing for NEET from 2018 and studied basic NCERT books,” he said, adding that he faced tremendous hardships while preparing for the NEET from last one year due to the slow speed mobile internet services here. Similarly, Sharanjeet told KNO that he is thankful to all those who helped and guided him in securing over 90 marks. “I just focused on 11th and 12th syllabus, which helped me to secure around 95 per cent points,” he said. Both Jai veer and Sharanjeet said that focusing on your goal will help you to achieve it. “The only thing you need is to be consistent and honest to yourself and parents,” they said. For those who are preparing for NEET examination, they said the aspirants should focus on NCERT books and manage their time well, which will help them in qualifying NEET easily. Popinder Singh Gagan, father of Sharanjeet Singh, who is a teacher by profession said that he is feeling proud of his son who has secured 95 per cent points in NEET examinations.
